SACP CALL FOR PAPER AND PANEL PROPOSALS
2026 Pacific Division Meeting of the American Philosophical Association
Wednesday, April 8th – Sunday, April 12th, 2026
Fully Online Submission Deadline: October 6th, 2025

The Society for Asian and Comparative Philosophy (SACP) invites proposals for our panel at the American Philosophical Association’s Pacific Division meeting. We welcome proposals on any aspect of Asian or comparative philosophy.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Individual paper abstracts should be 200-300 words.

  • Complete panel proposals should include:

    • A 150-word introduction to the theme of the panel (with panel title).

    • 200-300-word abstracts for each of the papers.

    • Presenter’s name(s), email(s), and institution(s).

Additional Guidelines:

  1. Submission Types: We encourage submissions of both individual papers and full panel proposals on any topic in Asian and/or Comparative Philosophy. All submissions will be considered.

  2. Extended Abstracts: You may submit a longer abstract (300-500 words) or a completed paper along with your abstract. Each presentation will be allocated 20-30 minutes.

  3. Simultaneous Submissions: Please let us know if you are submitting a proposal to other Asian philosophy groups for the same APA meeting. We recommend submitting only unique proposals.

  4. Membership: Membership in the SACP is not required for consideration, but you must be a current SACP member by the time session information is submitted to the APA. Each presenter is required to register and pay the APA conference registration fee.
