Healing in Times of Precarity: Asian and Comparative Approaches

In an era marked by pandemics, ecological breakdown, political violence, and social fragmentation, questions of healing take on new urgency. Asian philosophies and comparative perspectives provide rich insights into how individuals, communities, and the planet can endure, transform, and flourish. We welcome papers that address healing not only in terms of medical or physical recovery, but also as ethical, spiritual, relational, and ecological restoration.

The conference will take place May 19–22, 2026, at MAHE in Manipal, Karnataka, India, and will feature two keynote speakers:

Keynote Speaker: Jin Park (American University)

Keynote Title: “Mourning and Healing” (Click here to see the abstract and speaker bio)

**

Keynote Speaker: A. Raghuramaraju (Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati)

Keynote Title: “The Bhagavad Gita as a healer for the precarious problem of Colonialism”
