Georgetown University in Qatar (GU-Q) invites applications for an open-rank core faculty position in Philosophy.
The search is open with respect to area of specialization, with particular interest in several areas, including non-Western philosophy, especially Islamic and Arabic philosophy, African/Africana philosophy, and Asian philosophy. Other areas of interest include Continental philosophy, philosophy of science, philosophy of social science, and applied ethics.
The successful candidate will contribute to the Culture and Politics major and the School of Foreign Service core curriculum and must be able to teach a course in Political and Social Thought.
